Where are my photos processed?
Everything runs locally using Apple's Vision framework. There is no server and no account — your images are never uploaded.
How do I remove the watermark?
Free export adds a watermark. A one-time in-app purchase (Pro Unlock) permanently removes it and exports full-quality images. No subscription, no auto-renewal.
I bought Pro but it's locked on a new phone.
Open the app's Settings page and tap “Restore Purchases”. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID used for the purchase.
How do I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, find SnapID Studio, and request a refund.
Which photo sizes are supported?
39 specifications across 6 categories — standard ID sizes, language tests (IELTS/TOEFL/GRE/PTE), students, travel visas, professional licenses, and government use.
The compliance check keeps warning me.
It only blocks when no face / multiple faces are found, or the head is clearly turned or tilted. Other notes (background, framing) are advisory and never stop you from continuing.
Will my photo pass an official review?
Requirements vary by document, visa, and exam. SnapID helps you match common specs, but acceptance is decided by the receiving authority.

SnapID Studio (the “App”) respects and protects your privacy. This policy explains how the App handles information related to you. Please read it carefully before use.
All image processing in the App (portrait cutout, auto-framing, background replacement, beautify, outfit, and 6-inch layout) runs entirely on your device using Apple's built-in Vision framework. The App has no server, requires no account or sign-in, and your photos and image data are never uploaded to any server.
When you actively take or select a photo containing a face, the App temporarily processes that photo on-device together with a person-segmentation mask, face bounding box, facial landmark positions, head-pose angles, and capture-quality indicators produced by Apple Vision. This data is used only to separate the person from the background, frame the photo automatically, and check face count, position, pose, sharpness, and composition so the App can create an ID photo and show possible compliance guidance.
The App does not perform face recognition or identify any person, does not create a persistent face template, and does not use face data for authentication, advertising, analytics, or profiling. The developer does not collect this face data. It never leaves your device; it is not uploaded, sold, disclosed, or shared with any third-party service, and it is not stored on developer or third-party servers. Temporary analysis results remain only in device memory during active processing and are discarded after analysis or the current editing session ends. The source photo and edited result likewise remain only in the current local session; an exported photo is placed in your system photo library only when you explicitly choose to save it, where you control its retention and deletion.
The App does not collect, store, or share: photo or image content; personal identifiers such as name, phone number, or ID number; device identifiers; location; contacts; or usage/analytics data.
You can review and manage these permissions anytime in Settings › Privacy & Security.
Temporary data created while making a photo is stored only on your device to complete the current task; exported files are managed by the system once you save them to your album.
The App integrates no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. The only system service involved is the App Store (in-app purchases are provided by Apple and governed by Apple's privacy policy).
The App offers a one-time “Pro Unlock” in-app purchase (to remove the export watermark). Purchase, payment, and restore are handled entirely by the Apple App Store; the App does not collect or store your payment information. Unlock status is verified on-device from the system purchase receipt and nothing is uploaded.
The App is intended for general audiences, is not directed to children under 13, and does not knowingly collect children's personal information.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced through in-app release notes or on this page; continued use means you accept the updated policy.
